A senior executive highly experienced in leading complex organizations, Scott served over 36 active-duty years as a Marine retiring at the rank of Brigadier General in 2018.  

His General Officer assignments included Deputy Commander Marine Corps   Forces Europe and Africa, which he also performed the duties of Commander, Marine  Corps Forces Europe for a period of over eight months. A significant achievement  during his tenure was the deployment of Marine capabilities to Moron, Spain tasked to  enhance Department of State security throughout Africa following the tragic events  within Benghazi, Libya. Following his time in Europe, Scott was assigned to Washington  D.C. as the Director of Strategy and Plans, Headquarters, U.S. Marine Corps. During this Pentagon assignment he was also designated an Operations Deputy assisting the  Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Direct of the Joint Staff with formulating policy  and best military advice along with representing the Marine Corps as Head of Delegation for multiple Service-to Service level meetings with allied and partner counterparts. In July 2016 he returned to the U.S. Central  Command theater of operations assigned as the Chief of Staff for Combined Joint Task Force Operation Inherent  Resolve, a twenty-seven nation combined headquarters tasked with the military defeat of ISIS. Returning to the  Pentagon in July of 2017 he filled the position of Assistant Deputy Commandant for Plans, Policies and  Operations. And was also designated to support of the drafting of the 2018 National Defense Strategy. 

Designated a Naval Aviator in 1988, he compiled over 3300 career flight hours, to include combat flight  operations during Desert Storm along with multiple Iraqi Freedom tours. Twice commanding in combat, he has  commanded at the squadron, aircraft group, and Service Component levels. A designated Joint Specialty Officer,  he experienced four joint assignments during his career.  

Since retiring in August 2018, he first joined TechOp Solutions International, Inc. as the Director of the  firm’s open-source social media monitoring and reporting service. This unique service provided the Department  of Homeland Security with 24/7/365 social and traditional media surveillance aiding the National Operations  Center with developing global situational awareness.  

In March 2019 he joined Booz Allen Hamilton. His initial focus was in support of a Department of State  sponsored foreign assistance effort to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, concentrated on educating and advising  senior civilian and military leaders within the Ministry of Defense focused on transforming their armed forces  into a joint force interoperable with Western allies. Returning home in May 2020, his focus shifted to providing  firm leadership with subject matter expert advice and thought leadership relative to business development  activities connected to Department of Defense initiatives associated with operationalizing joint all-domain  operations, information warfare, enhancing human performance, and the incorporation of unmanned systems. 

Volunteering his time, Scott is the Expeditionary Warfare Chair, National Defense Industrial Association,  and is a member of the American College of National Security Leaders, which he currently serves as the  Secretary. He is a longtime member of the Marine Corps Association and the Marine Corps Aviation Association.  

Scott possesses a Master of Science in National Resource Strategy from the Industrial College of the  Armed Forces, a Master of Business Administration in Aviation from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, a  Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Ramapo College of New Jersey, and certificates in Leadership and  Management and Strategic Management from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
