Ambassador (ret.) Edward S. Walker Jr.

Ambassador Edward Walker retired in 2016 as professor at Hamilton College. Previously he was the president of the Middle East Institute in Washington. In 2001 he retired from his career at the State Department as Assistant Secretary for Near Eastern Affairs. He was Deputy Chief of Mission in Saudi Arabia, Ambassador to the U.A.E., Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador to Egypt, and Ambassador to Israel.  He holds a B.A. from Hamilton College and an M.A. from Boston University.
