Dean Sienko, MD, MS, is a retired public health physician and Army major general. He did his public health training at the US Centers for Disease Control and has held leadership positions in local, state, federal, and global health organizations. As a reservist, he deployed to Operation Desert Storm, Kosovo, and Operation Iraqi Freedom and was called to active duty to serve as the Commanding General of Army Public Health Command. He retired in 2020 after working at The Carter Center as the Vice President for Health.
