BG Robin Akin is a retired U.S Army General Officer and Senior Executive with over 35 years of management and leadership experience directing the activities of organizations and agencies. She has extensive worldwide logistics experience leading operations of organizations ranging in size from 100 to 25,000 personnel.

BG Akin also has senior level military and civilian experience in the areas of strategic and operational planning, petroleum, transportation (rail, truck, sea, air and subterrainal movement), end-to-end distribution, supply chain, ammunition, engineering, energy, property accountability and personnel management. Robin was sworn in the United States Army on 4 September 2017 to the Senior Army Executive Service (SES) as a Headquarters, United States Army Highly Qualified Expert- Mentor.

Robin was the Director Strategic Marketing from November 2013 to October 2016 for Elbit Systems of America. There she was responsible for leading marketing activities for the company’s major campaigns as it relates to DOD, DOH and DOE integration and coordination with Elbit Systems Ltd. (ESL) and its subsidiaries inside and outside the United States. She was the companies SME on Force Protection, Tunneling and Subterranean Warfare, Military and Homeland Security Operations. Robin’s last military position was the Director of Logistics (Chief Operating Officer) for the United States Forces and United Nations Command, Republic of Korea, where she was personally responsible for maintaining readiness of 1.3 million personnel for US, Republic of Korea and the United Nations Command Support Forces. Managed budgets from $1M to $1B.

Her first General Officer assignment was the Commanding General (Chief Executive Officer) of the 3rd Expeditionary Sustainment Command, Fort Knox, KY. While there her command and mission was focused and synchronized resources for 20,000 personnel supporting worldwide customer requirements. Provided complex worldwide logistics capabilities to combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan and seven US regions. Her proudest mission while a leader in the Armed Forces was when she was selected to lead the first US military response and relocated the headquarters, personnel and equipment to Haiti during their humanitarian crisis caused by the largest earthquake ever recorded.

She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Tennessee. Earned a Master’s Degree in Administration from Central Michigan University, and a Master’s Degree in Strategic Studies from the United States Army War College. She has 3 Bronze Stars from Combat Tours in Iraq and Afghanistan.

She currently is an advisor on several boards; North Texas Veteran Affairs, Advisory board member to the Fort Worth Airpower Council and is the Military Advisor to the Airpower Foundation Board of Directors, Co-Creator Boots to Heals, Non-profit helping Women Veterans, the Texas Ambassador for the Women In Military Service for America Memorial and a Member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) . She is the recipent of the DAR Medal of Honor.
