Rear Admiral Todd Squire
Todd Squire, Rear Admiral USN (Retired)
Rear Adm. Squire attended the University of Utah and received his commission in 1987 through the Reserve Officer Training Corps. He received his master’s degree from the German Armed Forces Staff College in Hamburg, Germany. Squire is a Navy Foreign Area Officer (FAO) “Plank Owner” having transitioned to the FAO Community in December 2005.
His operational assignments include: Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 132, VAQ-138 and Carrier Air Wing 5 staff. During those tours he participated in combat Operations Deny Flight, Southern Watch and Allied Force. He reported as Director for International Engagement (N52), Office of the Chief of Naval Operations in March 2015.
His shore assignments include: VAQ-129, Defense Language Institute; German (2002), Turkish (2010), U.S. European Command staff, Office of the Secretary of Defense for Policy staff, Office of Defense Cooperation Ankara, Turkey, and the Chief, Office of Defense Cooperation, New Delhi, India.
Squire has been recognized as the Commander Naval Forces, U.S. Pacific Fleet Landing Signal Officer of the Year, and is entitled to wear the Defense Superior Service Medal (two awards), Defense Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Individual Action Air Medal (two awards, one with combat distinguishing device), Strike Flight Air Medal (six awards), along with various personal, unit and service awards.
